With this in mind we’ve made sure our ski touring collection is versatile, adaptable, lightweight and durable to provide you with all-round comfort and protection from the elements. This men's ski touring softshell jacket, with its taped seams and great ventilation, is a wind and waterproof jacket that can handle long days out in the mountains. The softshell fabric is smoother, softer and more ventilating than its hard-shell counterpart. The waist, cuffs and hood can be adjusted to achieve a perfect fit and it has a built-in RECCO Rescue System which can be located if you get lost or need assistance in the mountains. The ski touring softshell has two front pockets, two chest pockets and an inside pocket where you can store important items. The high collar protects against snow and wind while it has quick ventilation if you get too hot. In the little coastal town of Varberg, Sweden, the aspiring entrepreneur Paul Rydholm starts a small-scale production of sportswear together with his sister and two seamstresses.

TENSON’S MULTILAYER PRINCIPLE: Designing and developing apparel that caters to the extreme needs of Ski Touring's very wide range of activities really brings out the best in our designers and product developers. Just imagine an elevated heart rate causing excessive sweating when pushing uphill, reaching your destination, wresting and cooling down - then skiing downhill with the wind in cooling you down - extreme conditions calling for smart designs and high quality, performance apparel and the need to dress accordingly.

Your apparel journey begins with the baselayer. Tenson’s baselayers, made from Merino wool, keeping you dry and warm in all conditions.

The midlayer style is made in Power Stretch material, comes with a full length zipper, making it easier to change your baselayer.

Our insulation layer is made in lightweight high quality Primaloft padding keeping you dry and warm during your ascent and during our descent.

The outer layer, the wind and weather-resistant shell that features a membrane to protect the layers underneath from wind, rain and snow, while still ensuring breathability.
